Baron Bigod is an exquisite bloomy, pasteurised cows milk cheese in the style of a classic Brie-de-meaux made by Jonny and Dulcie Crickmore at Fen Farm in Bungay, Suffolk from their own Montbeliarde cows milk. It has a smooth silky texture and a golden curd, with long lasting warm earth, farmyard and mushroom flavours. Its flavours and characteristics are influenced by the makers own cows milk and the rich variety of grasses and herbs that grow on the grazing land of Stow Fen, an unusual wildlife-rich basin marsh which is completely unique to the Waveney Valley.
